The Wedding

What a day! It was a perfect, sunny afternoon wedding. It all happened so quickly, but there are some interesting tid-bits to share. It all started at 7:45 a.m. with my hair appointment. My hair took about an hour to do and then it was my bridesmaid's turn to sit in the chair. While they were getting their hair done, I ate a Chick-Fil-A bagel (delicious!) and put on my makeup. Then it was off to the church to get dressed. after getting dressed, pictures started promptly at 11:15. Pictures were finished at 12:30 and then there was the hour long wait for the ceremony to begin. I understand the half-hour prelude was beautiful (Thanks Christy, Leah, and Cassia!). I couldn't really hear any of it from where I was waiting. As it came time for Dad and I to head down the aisle, we both teared up. I remember saying, "Dad, don't start...I won't be able to stop." We made it to the front and the ceremony proceeded without too many problems. I understand our nephew, Toby, stole part of the show. :o) He's adorable, so we didn't mind a bit! The funniest thing that happened was as the soloist was singing Household of Faith, we were lighting our unity candle. As she sang, "...and when the strong winds blow it won't fall down...", the A/C came on and blew out our unity candle!! It was ok. There was a lighter laying right there, so I quickly re-lit it, and we all had a good laugh. :o) The other funny thing that happened was as we were leaving for our honeymoon amid a sea of bubbles, Darren forgot to open my car door for me. As I started reaching for my own handle, I heard his Dad's voice, "Darren! Get your wife's door!" Ha ha! It was hilarious.

My pics should arrive in the mail by Monday. I can't wait to post them here. :o)
